I stayed at the Green Dragon Inn at the end of my first day of cycling from Land’s End to John O’Groats in June 2104.
Whilst the room was a little tired and would have been much improved by an en suite this was greatly outweighed by a very friendly welcome and great service. Despite the accommodation being above the bar it was surprisingly quiet although the local church clock chimes did wake me nearly every hour 🙂
The food was good wholesome stuff with the right size portions for someone who has just cycled 120 miles. The restaurant has a pleasant view over the garden, which would have been a nice place to sit itself if it hadn’t just bucketed down.
Breakfast was also a prodigious affair and set me up very nicely for day 2 – another 120 miles to a small village near Bristol.
