I have just realised it is a year to the day that I first put my Lands End to John O’Groats Guide as a paperback on Amazon.
I ran a report and was amazed to find I have sold 510 copies!
During the year I have made the text available as a Kindle, on iBooks and through my website as a pdf download. In total in the past 12 month I have sold 1,639 copies.
Who would have thought that that many people even contemplate riding it. I guess this is only the tip of the iceberg because the whole text has always been available for free on my website and only a handful of the total visitors ever go on to buy a copy.
Having sunk all the proceeds into my kids books, Ruff and Tumble and Tyger Pants, I just need to start getting them doing the same kind of thing
